This afternoon I had to clear the garden ready for a new patio and lawn edging later in the week. The garden was full of spiders and webs. It reminded me of the scenes in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings where the spider catches hobbits and hangs them up to eat later. If I’m not where I’m supposed to be later this is what happened to me!

Contributing a drawing at Minnie’s Open Studio – this is her lovely dog, Spike. This is one of the very few drawings for this blog not in my possession. I like the idea of leaving drawings elsewhere though.

I’ve finished my lovely Stillman And Birn sketchbook so I’ve reverted to a sketchbook I would have been quite happy with in the past. I decided to stick what I thought was watercolour paper to some of the pages but it seemed to resist the paint! I’ll have to think again.
