A landmark day today: 1600 days of continuous drawing. I always feel I should do something special when one of these days comes around but they usually creep up on me. It seemed fitting the. To draw one of my favourite recurring subjects:The Hill, Abington Park. I’m always interested by the shape of the hill, the positioning of the trees and the distinctive shadows they make when the sun shines through the clouds. Today was I hampered by a broken pencil and had to keep wedging the lead back in as I was travelling light, with only a pencil and sketchbook. Only 400 days to go til I hit 2000!
