This evening I went to a three hour evening session at Abington Park Museum led by artist Zack McLaughlin @paperandwood
He demonstrated how to use two different thicknesses of wire to make the structure of a bird and decorate it. I had the opportunity to make one bird to learn how and another to experiment and refine the technique. The linear quality of the wire being manipulated in space was so like an extra challenging version of drawing with a pen on paper and this was further emphasised by photographing the shadows of the birds.

From inside the Zapato Lounge, because it was too rainy to draw outside, a good opportunity to practise sketching furniture for my office concertina.
