I tried to distinguish between the different green of the trees by markmaking and also by exaggerating the the other colour in the green eg blue green, yellows green etc. I’m not sure it’s worked quite as I’d hoped.
Tomorrow #DrawingAugust begins on Twitter. Jean Stevens (@JeanStevens4) and Dean Lewis (@OlderThanEvil) started it in 2013 and so this is the fifth year that I’ll be taking part. I love the way my twitter feed becomes filled with sketches and drawings of all sorts made by people all over the world. I love to see waves of inspiration flowing through the month as different subjects and approaches appear.
Although I make and post a drawing every day anyway I love having the company of so many other #DrawingAugust participants for a month, especially since for some of August I am not at work and can put more time into daily drawing.
If you want to kickstart your drawing (or urbansketching) this is a great way to start.
