    Is there a backstory to the lift tower and its significance?

      It was built by the Express Lift Company in 1982 to test lifts. It’s now one of the most frequently used sites for charity abseils and it’s the tallest place to do this! It’s such a landmark and it’s amazing how many places it can be seen from. I’ve once went up to the top – the view is amazing.
